Nature Photos

This week, I would like to share some nature photos which were snapped and edited by one of my students in school. His name is Amin Fitri and he is in Form Five. I first saw his photos in an exhibition in my school and I think they are great!. Amin also had won several photography competitions at the national level and made the school proud. I think he is very talented in photography. As his teacher, I am so proud of him and hope that Amin would continue snapping wonderful photos to be shared and enjoyed . At the moment Amin is busy preparing for the SPM examination. To Amin, thank you for sharing your photos with me . I appreciate it so much.

All the photos were taken here in Kuala Terengganu. Amin likes to snap photos of nature especially the paddy fields, coconut trees, the seas and beaches. We have many beautiful beaches here in Terengganu . The sun, seas and beaches are part of the life of the people here...

Well, next week is also the school holiday and it also means that it is a week break from school for all the teachers in the country including me! I am so happy of course and is also looking forward to the fasting month which will begin this coming Saturday.

At the same time, I feel very sad of the rampant spread of the H1N1 virus in the country and the reported news of more deaths in Malaysia. As a teacher, I am very concern about it because a lot of H1N1 cases were reported in schools and many school children became the victims. In my school , so far there is no report of the H1N1 case but many of the students showed signs of flu-like symptoms. Everyday, we would remind the students to take care of their health and to take H1N1 seriously. I explained about the virus to the students and always remind them to practice good hygiene at all time.We also advised the students to take vitamins and drink coconut juice as herbal remedy for the prevention of H1N1. Fortunately, coconut juice is easily available here in Terengganu. I hope that all the teachers in the country would keep on alerting our students of the danger of H1N1 and help delay community spread.

Last week almost everyone in one of the classes that I teach were down with flu. Some were coughing very badly. So the whole class were given face masks to wear and I took the photo of my students that day. I have been teaching for 14 years and this is the first time we face such situation ; having to wear face mask while teaching and facing students who are all wearing face masks!.

Lastly, I wish "Selamat Berpuasa" to my students, friends and all muslims... Happy holidays to An my BFF who is also a teacher...
