Oooppss..food entry again?....This time around I'll take you to a restaurant in KT pulak. My next door neighbour, Chef Muhammad Ridzuan Ang and his wife had just opened a new restaurant. His new restaurant, The Pilgrim Restaurant and Grill which serves Malay, Chinese and Eurasian cuisine is at Desa Sri Bayas Permai, Bukit Bayas, Kuala Terengganu(kat area Pasir Panjang). Pilgrim restaurant is actually their second restaurant. Their first restaurant, Al Hijrah Oasis which serves Malay and Halal Chinese food is quite popular here in KT and gives them a 5 figure income monthly. The first restaurant nampak simple je, kampung style, takde aircond ke apa.. tapi is always packed with people especially during the school holidays and hari gaji. Their second restaurant, The Pilgrim R&G was only opened a week ago. The restaurant is a two storey building (warna kuning) in Desa Sri Bayas Permai. Restoran baru ni ada air -cond and the staffs pakai uniform gitu..
When I entered the restaurant yesterday, I saw my other neighbours as well. Ye la, as neighbours, kita kenalah support dia kan.. and we are so lucky that we have a chef in our housing area. He loves to cook and share with the neighbours. Kalau bahagian masak2 ni semua buat kat rumah dia. I tumpang makan je.. Masakan dia sedap2 pulak tu...That day I ordered their set meal of the day which comprises of pasta soup, Mediterranean beef with orange sauce @ oriental chicken chop, potato wedges, choc moist cake with ice-cream and a cup of coffee. Semua2 ni RM19.90.

At the restaurant, Chef Ridzuan prepared the food on his own with the help of his staffs. Mayonnaise ke, soup ke dia buat sendiri bukan tuang dari tin or botol. So, the soup doesn't taste like the canned soup. It's really tasty..

Panjang tul pinggan tempura udang ni. Berapa meter tu? Sampai nak ambik angle pun tak reti..The shrimps are very crispy and tasty!

Tu je kitaorg makan hari tu. Tak sempat nak study menu pun lagi. Esok lusa nak pegi lagi nak try makanan lain pulak. I would like to congratulate Chef Wan and the wife, cikgu Wati on the opening of The Pilgrim R&G. Wishing both of you the very best of luck. I will surely be one of their regular customers.
